NIAGARA UNIVERSITY, N.Y. -- Looking to end a 16-game road losing streak, the Niagara University women’s basketball team (1-0) meet Cleveland State (0-1) this afternoon in the Wolstein Center.
The Purple Eagles enter the game with a losing streak that dates to Feb. 17, 2005. But they are coming into their first road trip with a winning record after winning their season and home opener over Colgate Friday night.
Cleveland State lost its home and season opener with a heartbreaking 86-84 loss to Miami (Ohio) Friday.
This afternoon’s meeting is the 18th meeting between the two teams.
