NIAGARA UNIVERSITY, N.Y. -- Returning to the friendlier confines of the legendary Taps Gallagher Center hopefully will benefit the Niagara University women’s basketball team (2-14, 1-6) as it hosts Iona College (6-9, 3-3) Friday at 7 p.m.

The Purple Eagles have played better in their last three games, but still haven’t been able to snap their three-game losing streak.

At home in the Purple Palace, Niagara won its last home game and sports a 2-2 record.

Iona enters the game as winners in three of its last four outings. It defeated Rider, 78-58, on Jan. 15.
