Men's Basketball Hosts Loyola

NIAGARA UN., N.Y. -- With an upset on its mind, the Niagara University men’s basketball team (4-9, 1-4) hosts Loyola College (10-3, 4-1) tonight at 7 p.m. in the legendary Taps Gallagher Center.

Fresh off their fourth win of the season and first Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference victory, the Purple Eagles have become the hunters. They snapped a three-game losing streak and four-game home losing streak with a 78-73 victory over Fairfield Thursday.

Sitting with a plump three-game winning streak and a second-place spot in the league standings is Loyola which is coming off a high-scoring 95-80 win at Canisius on Thursday.

Tonight’s game will be a tape delay broadcast on Lockport Cable Television Channel 20. The game will air Sunday at 1 and 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. The game can also be heard live on WJJL (1440 AM) and on Niagara University’s official sports website, www.PurpleEagles.com.
