NIAGARA UNIVERSITY, N.Y. -- It has been just nine days since they last meet, but the Niagara University women’s basketball team (2-12, 1-4) will get a second crack at league-leading Marist College (9-4, 4-0) tonight at 7 p.m. in the McCann Center in Poughkeepsie, N.Y.

The Purple Eagles enter the game on a losing note after dropping a 49-43 game at Rider University Thursday night. The 43 points tied the squad’s season low for points (at St. John’s) and was the seventh time this year they scored less than 50 points.

Marist continues to roll, winning its ninth consecutive game on Tuesday with a 67-46 victory vs. Brown.

Niagara leads the all-time series with Marist (12-7).
