NIAGARA UNIVERSITY, N.Y. -- Fresh off its first Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference victory of the season, the Niagara University women’s basketball team (2-11, 1-3) returns to the road for games in Lawrenceville, N.J., vs. Rider University (1-12, 0-4) Thursday at 7 p.m. and in Poughkeepsie, N.Y., vs. Marist College (9-4, 4-0) Saturday at 7 p.m.
The Purple Eagles enter the week on a winning note after winning their first league game of the season with a 61-57 victory over Siena College.
Rider enters Thursday’s game on a three-game losing streak after falling to Pennsylvania Tuesday, 66-38.
Marist continues to roll, winning its ninth consecutive game on Tuesday with a 67-46 victory vs. Brown.
Niagara leads the all-time series with Rider (12-7) and Marist (12-7).
