NIAGARA UN., N.Y. -- The Niagara University men’s basketball team is taking its Cinderella season to the "Big Dance" when the Purple Eagles travel to Arizona for the NCAA Tucson first- and second-rounds in the McKale Center on Thursday-Saturday, March 17-19.
Niagara, which earned a No. 14 seed with its 20-9 record, will play the No. 3 seed Oklahoma (24-7) at approximately 12:45 p.m. ET on Thursday with No. 6 seed Utah and No. 11 seed UTEP tipping off at approximately 30 minutes after the end of the Niagara-Oklahoma game. The winners of Thursday’s games will play on Saturday.
The game will be broadcast on WIVB Channel 4 and can also be heard live on WJJL (1440 AM) and on Niagara University’s official athletic web site at www.PurpleEagles.com.
