NIAGARA UNIVERSITY, N.Y. -- The Niagara University women’s basketball team (12-8, 7-4) looks to snap a two-game losing streak when it plays Siena College (9-10, 6-4) Saturday at 3 p.m. in the Alumni Recreation Center.
The Purple Eagles stumbled for the fourth game in their last five outings with a 58-49 loss at Little Three rival Canisius on Wednesday. Sophomore Shaunna Ambrose came off the bench to score a game-high 23 points.
With the loss Wednesday, Niagara is now in third place behind Canisius (8-3) and Marist (7-3).
Siena has been idle since losing at Manhattan on Jan. 30. The Jaspers snapped the Saints’ five-game winning streak with a 65-60 victory.
