NIAGARA UNIVERSITY, N.Y. -- After a brutal six-game road swing, the Niagara University women’s basketball team (14-11, 9-7) returns to the friendly confines of the legendary Gallagher Center when it hosts Siena College (12-13, 9-7) and Manhattan College (10-15, 6-10) this week. The Purple Eagles host the Saints at 7 p.m. on Friday and the Lady Jaspers at 2 p.m. Sunday.
Niagara holds its own destiny in the playoff race. It is currently in a tie with Siena for third place. With a pair of victories this week, the Purple Eagles would finish in third place and receive a bye into the MAAC Tournament.
Niagara looks to snap a two-game losing streak after falling at Fairfield in its last outing.
Siena has lost three of its last four games, including its last road contest.
Manhattan will be looking to snap a two-game losing streak and win its first contest on the road since beating Rider on Jan. 14.
