NIAGARA UNIVERSITY, N.Y. -- The Niagara University women’s basketball team (12-7, 7-3) will become road warriors as it begins a grueling six-game road swing the encompasses three out of four weeks in the month of February.
The Purple Eagles first stop is against cross-town and Little Three rival Canisius College (11-8, 7-3) on Wednesday at 7 p.m. in the Koessler Center.
Niagara is atop the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference standings along with Canisius and Marist College after falling to the Red Foxes, 61-49, on Jan. 30. Senior Eva Cunningham had a game-high 17 points.
Canisius snapped a two-game losing streak with a 73-56 win over Saint Peter’s on Jan. 30.
