Women's Basketball Looks to Extend Home-Winning Streak Saturday

NIAGARA UNIVERSITY, N.Y. -- The Niagara University women’s basketball team (1-3) returns to the friendly confines of the legendary Taps Gallagher Center when it hosts Big Four rival the University at Buffalo (1-3) Saturday in a men’s and women’s doubleheader beginning at 5 p.m.

The Purple Eagles will be playing for their second win of the season and second consecutive victory in the Gallagher Center, while the Bulls will also be looking for their second consecutive win.

Niagara is coming off a 67-43 loss at St. John’s on Nov. 27, while Buffalo won its first game of the season, beating Lafayette, 66-56, Wednesday.

The game can be heard live on WLVL (1340 AM) and on Niagara University’s official sports website, www.PurpleEagles.com. The game will also be broadcast on LCTV Ch. 20 on Dec. 4 at 7 p.m. and Dec. 10 at 7 a.m.
