The Niagara University Purple Eagles (0-2) open their 32nd home season in the legendary Taps Gallagher Center when they host the Syracuse Orange (2-0) tonight at 7 p.m.
The Purple Eagles will be playing for their first win of the season after dropping two games in the St. Bonaventure Shootout last weekend. They lost 54-47 to Albany and 75-63 in overtime to Cornell.
Syracuse enters tonight’s contest on a two-game winning streak after narrowly knocking off Buffalo, 64-63, last Sunday and Manhattan, 65-61, in its season opener on Nov. 18.
