NIAGARA UNIVERSITY, N.Y. -- For the first time in 10 years the No. 4 seed Niagara University volleyball team (16-9) will be playing for the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Championship when it hosts No. 1 seed Fairfield University Saturday at noon.

The road to the NCAA Tournament will go through Monteagle Ridge as the tournament is hosted by Niagara University in the legendary Taps Gallagher Center.

The Purple Eagles earned the No. 4 seed after finishing the MAAC regular season with a 6-3 record. The Stags are the No. 1 seed after finishing 8-1 in the league.
