NIAGARA UNIVERSITY, N.Y. – The Niagara University volleyball team (13-8, 3-3) snapped a three-match losing streak Sunday afternoon with a 3-0 victory, 30-23, 30-21, 30-21, over Marist College in a Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference match.
Senior Stephanie Hopkins (Tonawanda, N.Y./Sweet Home) led the Purple Eagles with a team-high 16 kills. She hit .306 and added eight digs. Classmate Erin Graham (Oakfield, N.Y.) had 11 kills and 10 digs and senior Michelle LeSouder (Stratford, Ont.) added 13 kills. Senior Jennifer Hansford (Stratford, Ont.) collected 32 assists and 11 digs and senior Micole Daluisio (Lancaster, N.Y./Lancaster) had 11 digs.
Niagara returns to action Nov. 5 when it hosts Little Three rival Canisius College at 6 p.m. in the Gallagher Center.
