NIAGARA UNIVERSITY, N.Y. -- The Niagara University women’s basketball team (7-4, 2-0) resumes Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference play when it travels to the New York City area for games at Saint Peter’s (5-6, 1-1) Thursday and at Manhattan (6-5, 2-0) Saturday.
The Purple Eagles take on the Peahens at 7 p.m. in the Yanitelli Center and the Lady Jaspers at 2 p.m. in Draddy Gym.
The Purple Eagles enter the weekend with a two-game winning streak after defeating Army, 55-52, on Dec. 31.
Senior Eva Cunningham and sophomore Shaunna Ambrose each tallied 16 points in the victory.
Saint Peter’s has lost its last two games, including a 67-50 loss at Princeton on Monday.
Manhattan is also on a two-game losing streak after falling to Colorado, 73-61, Jan. 2.
