NIAGARA UNIVERSITY, N.Y. -- The Niagara University women’s basketball team (17-7, 11-4) closes the weekend when it hosts Rider University (4-20, 2-13) at 1 p.m. Sunday in the Gallagher Center.
The Purple Eagles enter the game as winners in six of their last seven games. They beat Loyola 73-59 Friday for their 17th win of the season.
Rider comes to town looking to snap a seven-game losing streak. The Broncs lost at Canisius, 82-56, Friday.
Sunday’s game is the 16th meeting between the two teams and Niagara has a one-game lead, 8-7, in the series
