NIAGARA UNIVERSITY, N.Y. -- The Niagara University women’s basketball team (4-3) will be protecting a three-game winning streak when it begins a two-game road swing vs. Buffalo (1-5) Saturday at 5 p.m. in the Alumni Arena.
The women’s game is the first contest of a doubleheader with the Niagara and Buffalo men’s teams.
Niagara extended its winning streak and improved to 2-0 in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference with a 72-64 victory over Loyola Dec. 5.
Sophomore Shaunna Ambrose led four Niagara Players with a game-high 19 points.
Buffalo will be looking to snap a three-game losing streak after losing at Bucknell on Tuesday, 68-56.
Adelphia Cable Channel 13 will broadcast the tape-delayed game on Sunday at 2 p.m. and Dec. 18 at 1 p.m. The contest can also be heard live on the Niagara Athletic web site at www.PurpleEagles.com.
