NIAGARA UNIVERSITY, N.Y. -- The Niagara University women’s basketball team (5-3) puts a four-game winning streak on the line when it concludes a two-game road swing vs. Oakland (5-3) Sunday at 2 p.m. in O’Rena in Rochester, Mich.
The Purple Eagles extended their winning streak and won their first road game of the season with a thrilling 68-65 overtime victory over Big Four rival Buffalo on Dec. 11.
Sophomore Chantelle Wilson led four Niagara players with a game-high 19 points.
Oakland returned to the win column with a 79-62 win over Akron on Dec. 12. The Golden Grizzlies have played seven of their eight games on the road.
