NIAGARA UNIVERSITY, N.Y. – The Niagara University volleyball team (7-16, 5-3) won its second-straight match of the weekend with a 24-30, 31-29, 30-24, 30-28 victory over Loyola College (8-17, 1-5) Sunday in Baltimore, Md.
Junior Erin Graham (Oakville, N.Y.) had a team-high 25 kills and added 10 digs, two aces and five block assists. Classmate Michelle LeSouder (Stratford, Ont.) collected 23 kills and hit .316. Libero Micole Daluisio (Lancaster, N.Y./Lancaster) had a team-high 23 digs, and junior setter Jennifer Hansford (Stratford, Ont.) had 56 assists.
Niagara hit .257 for the match and had 16 blocks. The Purple Eagles hit .333 in game two and .304 in game four.
With their wins this weekend, the Purple Eagles are now in fourth place in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference standings behind Fairfield (6-1), Iona (6-1), and Saint Peter’s (5-2).
Niagara concludes its regular season Nov. 13 when it meets cross-town rival Canisius at 1 p.m. at the Koessler Athletic Center in Buffalo.
