With its first win under its belt, the Niagara University men’s basketball team (1-1) continues its three-game home stand when it hosts Central Connecticut State (1-1) at 7 p.m. Monday in the Taps Gallagher Center.
The Purple Eagles are coming off a 78-71 victory over American. Senior Juan Mendez dominated the game, registering 30 points, nine rebounds and six steals. Niagara had four players in double digits in scoring.
Central Connecticut State opened its season by going 1-1 in the seventh Annual Mohegan Sun Classic this past weekend. The Blue Devils beat Colgate, 87-70, but fell to Samford, 72-58.
