NIAGARA UN., N.Y. -- After going 1-1 in the 2004 Owens Corning Postseason National Invitation Tournament, the Niagara University Purple Eagles are ready to open their 99th campaign against Providence College in the 2004 Preseason NIT at Dunkin’ Donuts Center in Providence, R.I. 

    The game will be broadcast live on ESPN2 at 7:01 p.m. It can also be heard on WJJL (1440 AM) and on Niagara University’s official sports website at www.PurpleEagles.com.

    The Purple Eagles, 22-10 last season, open the season on the road for the first time in three years. Providence opens the season at home for the eighth-straight season.
