NIAGARA UNIVERSITY, N.Y. -- The Niagara University women’s basketball team (7-4, 1-1) puts the nation’s eighth-longest home winning streak on the line Friday when it hosts Saint Peter’s (6-5, 2-1) Friday at 11:30 a.m. in the Gallagher Center.
The Purple Eagles, who own a 16-game home winning streak, finished their non-conference slate with a 6-3 record after losing to South Florida, 73-58, Tuesday in Tampa, Fla.
Saint Peter’s enters the game having won two of its last three games. In their most recent outing, the Peahens lost to Manhattan in overtime, 48-47, Tuesday in Jersey City, N.J.
Friday’s game is the 36th meeting between the two teams.
