Men's Basketball Team Travels to Loyola

NIAGARA UN., N.Y. -- The Niagara University men’s basketball team (9-4, 3-1) returns to the road for a two-game swing south this weekend. The Purple Eagles face the Loyola Greyhounds (0-14, 0-5) Friday at 8:30 p.m. in Reitz Arena.

Niagara enters the game on a winning note after defeating Iona, 105-87, Jan. 11 in the Gallagher Center.

Loyola will be looking for its first win of the season Friday. The Greyhounds lost their 14th game of the season when they fell to Siena, 81-59, Tuesday at Reitz Arena.

Niagara leads the series, 20-11, and will be protecting an 11-game winning streak against Loyola.

The game will not be televised but can be heard live on WJJL (1440 AM) or on the Niagara website at www.PurpleEagles.com.
