Women's Basketball Team Travels to Rider

NIAGARA UNIVERSITY, N.Y. -- The Niagara University women’s basketball team (8-5, 2-2) returns to the road for a two-game swing when it travels to Lawrenceville, N.J., Friday for a 7 p.m. game against Rider (3-11, 1-4) in Alumni Gym.

The Purple Eagles won their sixth home game of the season when they defeated Fairfield, 84-74, Jan. 11 in the Gallagher Center.

Rider enters the game on a two-game losing streak. The Broncos lost their 11th game of the season when they fell to Marist, 65-44, Jan. 11

Sunday’s game is the 15th meeting between the two teams and Niagara tied the series at 7-7 with a pair of wins last season.
