Niagara Volleyball Records Win Over St. Francis (Pa.)


Sophomore Erin Graham had a match-high 18 kills and 12 digs in the Purple Eagles win over St. Francis (Pa.).

NIAGARA UNIVERSITY, N.Y. – Sophomore Erin Graham (Oakville, N.Y./Oakville Alabama) hit .333 and registered a match-high 18 kills and 12 digs to lead Niagara University (4-13) to a three-game (30-21, 30-18, 30-15) victory over St. Francis (Pa.) (3-13) Friday night in the Gallagher Center.

Niagara hit a season-high .362 as a team with 44 kills, 10 errors on 94 attempts.

"Good win, great team effort" Niagara head coach Rocco Lucci said. "They did a nice job following the game plan and that’s the win we need going into tomorrow."

Sophomore Michelle LeSouder (Stratford, Ont.) had 13 kills, while setters Jennifer Hansford (Stratford, Ont.) and freshman Jessica Piscitelli (Baldwinsville, N.Y./C.W. Baker) combined for 39 assists.

St. Francis (Pa.) was led by Allison Miller and Kimberly Duke who each had nine kills.

Niagara returns to action Saturday at 7 p.m. when it hosts Binghamton in the Gallagher Center.
