Farkas joined the Purple Eagles’ squad in the fall of 2018 as a junior. He made his collegiate debut at the Metropolitan Intercollegiate Oct. 28-29, 2018. He finished tied for 31st place and shot a career-best 73 (+2) in the second round of the tournament. Farkas finished tied for 38th place at the Explorer Invitational. He was named to the 2019 MAAC All-Academic Team. Farkas competed in two events for the Purple Eagles this season. He finished in 23rd place with a two-round score of 161 (+21) at the Little Three Championship and tied for 68th place at the Turning Stone Tiger Intercollegiate with a score of 240 (+24). 

Farkas is the president of Niagara University’s Club Management Association of America (CMAA), which is a professional organization that focuses on private club management of country clubs, city clubs, beach clubs and yacht clubs. Farkas was one of just five recipients this year of the Joe Perdue Scholarship, which is awarded to a student within CMAA who is seeking a career in club management. Farkas will graduate this spring with a degree in sport management, with a focus in country club management, and a minor in finance. After graduation, he plans to obtain his PGA certification and work as a golf professional at a country club managing golf operations and teaching the game of golf.
