Michelle is a New York State Licensed Mental Health Counselor and has experience working with adolescents and adults in the behavioral health field. She utilizes different theoretical approaches to her trauma-informed clinical work, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Solution-Focused Techniques and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. Michelle has previously worked at Horizon Health Services as a senior counselor and Buffalo Centre for the Treatment of Eating Disorders as a primary therapist. She has experience with individual, group and family counseling.

Since 2009, Michelle has been a dance instructor for a local studio, primarily working with the competitive team. She promotes healthy well-being for her dancers through her instruction which allows her to combine her clinical and athletic worlds together. Michelle’s first-hand experience with her clinical and athletic roles provide her with tools, resources, and understanding that is necessary to work with the student-athlete population.

Michelle received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Buffalo State College and a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Canisius College. She is a current member of the American Counseling Association, American College Counseling Association, and the Collegiate Clinical/Counseling Sport Psychology Association.
