Was named MAAC Rookie of the Year and earned All-MAAC First Team honors in No. 3 singles…Had a very successful season, going 21-7 overall in singles play with an undefeated 8-0 conference record, also had an overall doubles play record of 14-13 with four partners with a 3-2 conference record… Her 21 wins are the most since Niagara Hall of Famer Milena Matijevic's 23 wins during the 2003-04 season. The Queens, N.Y. native ended the regular season on a 12-match winning streak and has only gone to three sets twice during the run.Velasquez won seven matches by a score of 6-0, 6-0 with four of those victories coming during her season-high 11-match win streak… Velasquez went three matches in a row with 6-0, 6-0 victories, which came against Montana State Billings, St. Cloud State University, and Rider University… Two of her dominant performances in doubles play came with partner Sarah Hellstern in victories over Robert Morris (6-0) and Montana State Billings (8-1).
