Why Niagara: “I picked Niagara University because I can be close to my family and still be on my own. Also because it offers a lot of different opportunities and has great programs which will help me figure out what exactly I want to be and do and how to get there.”

A member of the 2012-13 MAAC All-Academic Team...Participated in the 2013 ECAC Championships.
Before Niagara: Ward is a transfer student from SUNY College at Oneonta who placed in the top eight at the SUNYAC Championships in the 50-yard backstroke. She currently holds the SUNY Oneonta School record holder earned as a freshman. Before SUNY, Ward was a standout high school swimmer at Niagara Falls High School as a two-time state qualifier. She was also named MVP as a senior.
Personal: Born in Lewiston, N.Y...Daughter of David and Laura Ward...Majoring in liberal arts.
