Biography

2020-21 (Senior)
XC: Did not compete due to COVID-interrupted season.
TF: Placed 5th in 400m with new school record of 58.28s at UB Invite #2, placed 5th in 200m…Placed 2nd in 200m and 400m at UB Invite #3, set new school record (and personal best) in 400m with 57.73s…Won the 2021 400m conference championship, becoming the first NU athlete to win track conference championship event in program history), set new school record (and personal best) of 56.85s, member of 6th place 4x400m relay team at the 2021 MAAC Outdoor Track & Field Championship...Made MAAC All-Academic Team…SAAC team representative. Awarded…“Unsung Hero” team award for women’s track & field.

2019-20 (Junior)
XC: Set new personal collegiate best in 5k at Little 3 Championship…Dropped over a minute to set new personal best in the 6k at Paul Short Invitational…Dropped 30 seconds to set a new collegiate best 5k at Canisius Alumni Classic…Competed at MAAC Championship.  MAAC All-Academic team.
TF: Season did not start and was cancelled due to COVID-19 outbreak.

2018-19 (Sophomore)
XC: Competed in four meets...Set Niagara 5k personal best at Canisius Alumni Classic (Oct. 13) with a time of 22:14.
TF: 1st in 500m at Brockport Multi Invite...Placed 8th in 800m (2:23) at Dave Labor Invite…Placed 1st in 800m at Alfred State Invite…Placed 7th in 400m (60.38) at University at Buffalo Invite…Placed 11th at MAAC Championship in 400m (59.62)…member of 7th place 4x400m relay team at MAAC Champs. Made MAAC all-academic team…SAAC team representative.

Before Niagara:
Bagnato was a four-year varsity member on the cross country and track teams at North Hills High School. As a sophomore in 2015, she placed third in the 400m with a personal record time of 58.08 at the Western Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic League (WPIAL) Championship to advance to the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association (PIAA) Championship.  She was also on the 4x400 and 4x800 relay teams and had a personal best time of 26.24 in the 200m as a senior. Her personal best time in the 5K is 20:49. Bagnato was a four-year National Honor Society – High Honors recipient and was active in FBLA and the Spanish Club, as well as community service organizations like Hands for Service and American Field Service.
