Biography
Why Niagara?
“I chose Niagara because of the friendly environment between professors, students, and the community. I can see myself fitting in here. I really enjoy their nursing program and they have the type of athletic program that I was looking for as well as the right coach and team I want to be with for the next four years.”
2016 (Junior)
Opened season with 4:59.59 in the 1500 at Monmouth Season Opener…Season interrupted due to injury.
2015 (Sophomore)
Ran a 5:26.63 in the mile (placing 7th) in the Brockport Mid-Season Classic…Ran a 4:55.76 at the Monmouth Season Opener, placing 15th of 84…Ran a 2:25.71 in the 800 (placing 12th of 49) at the University of Rochester Invitational…Ran a 2:25.88, placing 9th of 44 at the St. John Fisher Invite… Competed in the MAAC Championship in the 4x800 (2:22) and 1500 (4:57.70); relay placed 7th within championship with school-record time of 9:35.23.
High School
Lawler was the MVP of the Victor Cross Country team in each of her four years in high school...as a freshman she was named to the All-State team…she also made the All-League First Team in her freshman, sophomore, and junior years…set a 5k best at 18:44…in the classroom she was on the merit roll her first two years and made the honor roll in her senior year.
Personal
Born in Rochester, N.Y…daughter of Molly and Bill…has one sister, Brigid…is currently pursuing a degree in nursing.
