Biography
Why Niagara?
"I chose to attend Niagara University because my family has attended Niagara since the 1950's and they have or have had successful careers as administrators, teachers, nurses, and my grandmother was a nursing professor at NU from 1977-97.  Niagara is in my blood.  I will be the first athlete from my family to participate in a collegiate sport and I feel that the education I will receive will give me the opportunity to succeed in any career I choose."
2014 (Freshman)
Made the MAAC Championship squad...Competed in five meets of seven including the Notre Dame Catholic Invitational and Paul Short Invitational…Season and personal best of 25:52 in the 6k at the MAAC Championship.
High School:
Orfano  joins the program after four productive years at Niagara Falls H.S...She began her running career with track but transitioned into cross country in her junior and senior years when she ran for the varsity team...She was selected to the Section 6 Western New York All-League second team after her senior campaign...She succeeded in the classroom as well, landing on the honor roll her final three years and was a member of the Business Honor Society in 2012-13.
Personal:
Daughter of Frank and Ann Marie... has three younger siblings: Thomas, Caroline, and Mateo...she is pursuing a major in Sport Management.Â
