Niagara University Athletics

Dan Richeal joined the Niagara staff in the fall of 2022 after spending over two years at Mercyhurst University in Erie, Pa.

Richeal first started at Mercyhurst as the Graduate Assistant for Athletic Communications in 2020 after graduating from Niagara University in May of 2020. In the summer of 2021-22 Richeal was named Assistant Director of Athletic Communications before being named Interim Director of Athletic Communications in January of 2022. Prior to the 2022-23 academic year, Richeal was named Director of Athletic Communications. In his role with the Lakers, Richeal oversaw all 26 teams at Mercyhurst which included being the contact for Men’s and Women’s Hockey. In the spring of 2022, Richeal was the contact for the 2022 NCAA Division II National Champion Women’s Rowing Team.

During his time in Erie, he was the primary contact for the College Hockey America Tournament in 2021 and the secondary contact for the NCAA Division I Women’s Frozen Four in 2021 hosted in Erie.

The Tonawanda, N.Y. native graduated from Niagara in 2020 with a degree in sports management.
