Biography

2022-23
Played in all 40 games in his fifth season with the Purple Eagles…tallied career highs in goals, assists, points, and shots…finished with 14 goals, 14 assists, 28 points ad 99 shots…scored three game winnings goals and four goals on the power play…finished his career with the second most games played in a career with 152 games…signed an ECHL contract with the Toledo Walleye following the season

2020-21:
Cox played in all 22 games for Niagara as a junior. He scored a goal in six different contests, including a two-goal performance in NU's win over Air Force on Jan. 3. Finished the season with seven goals, four assists, and 11 points. Recorded the game-winner in the Purple Eagles Atlantic Hockey First Round win over Mercyhurst that capped his three-game goal streak

2019-20:
Cox played in a total of 29 games and finished with one goal, five assists, and 14 blocked shots. Cox made the AHA All-Academic Team.

2018-19:
Was named to the 2018-19 AHA All-Academic Team…Played in 25 games during his first season as a Purple Eagle; scoring two goals, three assists and six blocks…Collegiate debut and 4-3 win vs. AIC (Oct. 12)…Season-high with one goal and first collegiate goal with a 4-2 victory at Robert Morris (Nov. 3) and at Army (Nov. 23)…Season-high with one assist vs. Canisius (Nov. 11), at RIT (Dec. 15) and vs. Mercyhurst (Jan. 18)…Season-high with two blocks vs. Sacred Heart (Feb. 8).

Before Niagara:
Played for the Sherwood Park Crusaders (AJHL) during the 2017-18 season...Played 65 regular season and postseason games, finishing with a team-high 75 points (42 G, 33 A)...14 of his goals came on the power play, and two proved to be game-winners.

Represented Canada at World Junior A Challenge in 2016...Notched two points (1 G, 1 A) in four games, with the goal coming in his team's final game vs. Czech Republic (Dec. 11).
