Before Niagara:
Played four seasons at Division III Babson College where he was the captain as a senior. He skated in 86 games for the Beavers while scoring 44 goals and adding 46 assists. His best season came as a senior in which he scored 15 goals and added 17 assists in 26 games. He played his junior hockey for the Northeast Generals of the NAHL and played in 59 games and scored 20 goals and added 31 assists.
