2020-21:
Brandt was a member of the Niagara blueline for 18 games in 2020-21. He finished the season with two goals, seven helpers, and nine points. His two goals came against Mercyhurst (Dec. 18) and RIT (Dec. 22) at the beginning of his seven-game point streak. Finished third on team with 22 blocked shots.

2019-20:
Brandt played in all 34 games of the 19-20 season, collecting five goals, six assists, and 28 blocked shotss.

2018-19:
Was named to the 2018-19 AHA All-Academic Team…Appeared in 30 games for his second season for the Purple Eagles…Collected seven points (four goals and three assists), 43 blocks and one power play goal…Season debut with his first goal as a Purple Eagle and five blocks vs. AIC (Oct. 12)…Season-high with one power play goal and 6-3 win vs. Holy Cross (Nov. 9)…Season-high with three assists at Western Michigan (Dec. 1), vs. Bentley (Feb. 14) and vs. Canisius (March 8)…Season-high with five blocks vs. AIC (Oct. 12) and at Air Force Falcons (March 16)…Finished the season with 59 shots and a .068 shooting percentage.

2017-18:
Redshirted the season due to NCAA transfer rules.

Before Niagara:
Brandt began his college hockey career playing for the Miami University RedHawks, ending his freshman year with 10 points (3+7) and 28 blocked shots in 33 games played. He was named National Collegiate Hockey Conference (NCHC) Rookie of the Week on Feb. 27 after scoring two goals and one assist in a two-game series against 2017 national runner-up Minnesota Duluth.
 
Prior to Miami, Brandt was a three-year defenseman in the North American Hockey League (NAHL) with the Minot Minotauros. In the 2015-16 campaign, Brandt was the team captain for Minot and earned the team’s Defenseman of the Year award after posting 27 points (5+22) and a plus-17 rating in 59 games. In 149 total games with Minot from 2013-16, Brandt posted eight goals and 38 assists.
