Smyers made 29 appearances in 2015…23 of them starts…her 5.86 ERA was a team best…she had 20 complete games...149.1 innings pitched…recorded 74 strikeouts…All of which are career highs…On March 12th at UAlbany she pitched 8.0 innings for the Purple Eagles recording seven K’s.

Shaler Area High School
Smyers brings a lot of winning experience to Niagara as she was part of teams that played in the PIAA Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association State Championship game in 2009 and WPIAL Western Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic League Championship games in 2009 and 2010...Her team reached the state quarterfinals in 2010 and won the section championships in 2010, 2011 and 2012...Smyers was also part of the first-ever girls’ golf team at Shaler High School...She received highest honor roll all four years.
