Biography
Why Niagara: “I chose Niagara University because of the close family feel of the school and the swim team. I loved the campus and the many opportunities for classes. The small home-like feel was definitely a contributing factor to my decision. Having small classes will be more beneficial than larger classes.”
Before Niagara: Freestyle swimmer, Scheideman spent the previous four years competing at the varsity level at Lodi High School in California. She took ninth in the 500 free in the 2012 Sac-Joaquin Sectionals. She swam a total of 4,450 yards in six events during the Terrapins Senior Trials in 2010 where she took second place in the 1,650 freestyle and sixth in the 1,000 freestyle (10:30.54). The four-year honors student also swam for the Lodi Swim Club.
Personal: Born in Lodi, CA...Daughter of Troy and Shelby Scheideman...Has a brother, Cooper...Majoring in psychology.
