Niagara University, NY – The Niagara University softball team announced its 2026 schedule on Friday, featuring 42 regular season games including 16 at Niagara Field.
To kick off the season the Purple Eagles head to partake in the Penn State Softball Invitational as they play Lehigh, Binghamton (Mar. 6), Colgate followed by Lehigh again (Mar. 7), and wrap up the Invitational against Penn State (Mar. 8).
Conference play begins March 14 with a three-game series at Marist. Then the Purple and White travel to Maryland to take on UMBC on March 17 and UMES on March 19.
Niagara then heads back into conference play going on the road to face Quinnipiac March 21-22 for a three-game series.
The Purple and White's first home contest is against Rider on March 24 for a double header. In four more days, Niagara takes on Sacred Heart at Niagara Field on March 28-29.
Niagara heads to Buffalo on March 31 for a double header against the Bulls.
The Purple Eagles go on the road for five road games as they take on Mount Saint Mary's on April 3-4 and a double header on April 7 against Youngstown State.
Following the five-game swing the Purple and White head back home on April 11-12 as they take on Iona, following they take on Saint Peter's on April 18-19.
Niagara heads to Merrimack College on April 21 for a double header action.
The Purple Eagles have five games at home which see three against Manhattan on April 25-26 and two against Mercyhurst on March 28.
The Purple and White close out the season against as they travel to cross town rival Canisius on May 1-2.
