Bowling Completes Day Two of the Northeast Classic

New Castle, DE- Niagara won three of five of their traditional matches during day two of the Northeast Classic. Kate Ackerman topped all Niagara bowlers in total pinfall on the day including all five games scoring over 200.

Game 1: Niagara 1011, Arkansas State 1096
Niagara fell to the Red Wolves in the first traditional game of the day. Abbie Derby bowled a strong score of 279 in the loss to Arkansas State.

Game 2: Niagara 1018, St. Thomas Aquinas 578
The Purple Eagles soared past the Spartans, collecting their first win of the day by a margin of 440-pins. Abbie Derby led the way for the second game of the day with a score of 236.

Game 3: Niagara 1011, Central Missouri 884
The Purple and White picked up their second win of the day beating Central Missouri, bowling their third consecutive 1000 point game. Three Niagara bowlers bowled over 200 including strong games from Kate Ackerman, Dakota Collins and Sydney Skimmer who bowled 224, 223 and 200 respectively.     

Game 4: Niagara 902, Louisiana Tech 952
The Purple Eagles fall to nationally ranked Louisiana Tech in the fourth game of the day. Niagara falls to 2-2 on the day by 50-pins despite a pair strong games from Kate Ackerman and Emily Brock.

Game 5: Niagara 876, Norfolk State 735
Niagara finishes day two strong with a win against Norfolk State by a margin of 141-pins. This win brings the Purple Eagles day two record to 3-2 and an overall tournament record of 3-7.
