Men's Soccer Announces Four Signees

Niagara University, NY – Niagara University men's soccer head coach Bill Boyle announced today the addition of four new players to the Purple Eagles program for the 2025-26 season: Andre Santos, Damian Santos, Rene Scott, and Reon Tezuka.

Twin brothers Andre and Damian Santos hail from Lisbon, Portugal, and will join the Purple Eagles as transfers from Northwest University (NCAA Division II) in Kirkland, Washington.

"Andre is a versatile player who can play as a center back or holding midfielder," said Boyle. "He's a natural leader and will be a valuable asset to our back line and midfield."

"Damian is also a leader and former captain," Boyle continued. "He's a box-to-box midfielder who loves to get forward and contribute to the attack. His experience and background will add important depth to our midfield."

Scott, a center back from Hampton, Georgia, joins Niagara from Kalonji Soccer Academy and Strong Rock Christian School.

"Rene is an MLS Next player with high soccer IQ," said Boyle. "He'll be a strong young option at center back and someone who will adapt quickly to the college level."

Tezuka, who goes by Leon, arrives from Highline College, where he earned First-Team West Region All-Star honors.

"Leon is a Japanese American forward who has proven he can score goals at both Highline and in USL 2," said Boyle. "He brings attacking quality and a nose for goal that will benefit our frontline."

These four additions mark another step forward in building depth, experience, and quality across all lines of the Niagara men's soccer program.
