Niagara University, NY— Niagara (9-30, 6-16 MAAC) dropped a midweek doubleheader to Marist 19-9 in game one, and 9-1 in the nightcap at the Niagara Softball Field.
Game One
Marist struck first in game one, plating one run in the top of the inning. Niagara answered back in the bottom of the frame with two runs of their own with a two-run homer from Hailey Cenname.
Payton Pusey hit her second home run of the game for the Red Foxes to plate two runs. The Purple Eagles answered back once again with an RBI single from Lindsay Mayo to make it a one run game.
Marist put the game out of reach in the third, scoring nine runs, highlighted by a three run homer from Hailey Ahr. The Red Foxes added five more runs in the fourth and one run in the fifth to enact the run rule.
Niagara tried to keep the game alive adding three more runs in the bottom of the fifth with an RBI double from Cenname, a sacrifice fly off the bat of Brianna Delaney and an RBI single from Selah Moyer.
Aubrey Tamayo got the start in the circle for the Purple and White, throwing 3.0 innings. Jenna Martin and Abbey Steen both pitched one inning to round out the game.
Game Two
Marist once again got on the scoreboard first with two runs in the first inning, followed up by a run a piece in the second and third to make it a 4-0 game through three innings.
The Red Foxes added to their lead in the fourth with three more runs, highlighted by a two-RBI single from Maddie Gore. Sienna Kunze homered in the fifth to once again enact the run rule.
The Purple Eagles broke up Marist starting pitcher Maddie Pleasants' perfect game with a home run from Moyer in the bottom of the fifth in a two out, two strike situation.

• Niagara is now 19-32 all-time against Marist.
• Limbani's hit streak ended at 11 games.
• Mayo tallied her eighth multi-hit game of the season.
