NIAGARA UNIVERSITY, N.Y. - Niagara's offensive struggles continued Saturday as the Purple Eagles fell to Quinnipiac 70-38, dropping their 19th straight game this season.

How it Happened
The Purple Eagles (1-19, 0-12 MAAC) shot just 30.6 percent from the field and committed 22 turnovers in their 32-point loss to the Bobcats.
Amelia Strong led Niagara with 12 points on 5-of-8 shooting, while
Safiatu Kolliegbo added nine points.

Niagara briefly held an early 3-0 lead after
Lore Porter's three-pointer in the opening possesion, but Quinnipiac responded with a 9-0 run and never trailed again. The Purple Eagles' offense stalled for long stretches, managing just 19 points in the first half.

The Bobcats (19-3, 11-2) steadily built their lead after halftime, with their advantage reaching as many as 34 points in the fourth quarter. Niagara was held to single-digit scoring in all four quarters, finishing with just eight points in the final period.

• Saturday marked the 25th meeting all-time between Niagara and Quinnipiac, with the Bobcats taking a 19-6 series lead.
