EMMITSBURG, Md. —
Safiatu Kolliegbo led Niagara (1-21, 0-14 MAAC) with 14 points and seven rebounds, but the Purple Eagles shot just 39.6 percent from the field as Niagara suffered its 16th consecutive loss, 75-54 on Thursday night.
How it Happened
Jo Raflo scored 17 points and Mount St. Mary's pulled away in the second half to keep the Purple Eagles winless in MAAC play.
After trailing 38-28 at halftime, Niagara briefly cut the deficit to single digits in the third quarter when Kolliegbo hit a 3-pointer that made it 47-38. But Mount St. Mary's (11-11, 9-4) responded with an 11-2 run, capped by Gabrielle Kennerly's 3-pointer that pushed the lead to 58-40.
Lore Porter added 11 points while Ameila Strong and
Nevaeh Otis each added eight.
