BUFFALO, N.Y. — Niagara battled Wednesday night against Buffalo, showing resilience despite falling to Buffalo 77-51 at Alumni Arena in Buffalo, N.Y.
Jordyn Williams provided a spark off the bench for Niagara, leading the team with 14 points on 5-of-10 shooting. The sophomore added six rebounds, one assists and four steals in 25 minutes.
Talia Dial contributed 11 points while connecting on a pair of three-pointers, and
Katarina Veljovic added eight points in the backcourt.
The Purple Eagles defensive effort resulted in 20 steals as a team while forcing 32 turnovers. Veljovic led that charge with five steals.
Jade Campbell provided quality minutes off the bench with five points, while
Jisca Bila matched that total with efficient shooting, going 2-of-4 from the field including a three-pointer.
