Bowling Starts off NEC Weekend 3-2

Niagara University, N.Y.- Niagara won three of five matches of its traditional matches on the first day of NEC Meet 1, placing them second going into Saturday. Emily Brock led the Purple and White in total pinfall with a 1053 through the five-game set.

Game 1: Niagara 1026, Monmouth 963
Niagara defeated Monmouth in the first traditional game of the day. Emily Brock led the way with a very impressive 251 to start the day off right against Monmouth.

Game 2: Niagara 904, LIU 969
The Purple Eagles fought hard in a loss to LIU in the second game of the day. The game included a strong performance from Dakota Collins who bowled a 206.

Game 3: Niagara 937, FDU 968
Niagara was defeated by FDU by a 31-pin margin. Emily Brock led Niagara with a 234.

Game 4: Niagara 1037, Duquesne 907
The Purple and White soar past Duquesne by a 130-pin margin in the fourth game of the day. Jocelyn Smith bowled a strong 242 to help capture the victory against a tough conference foe.

Game 5: Niagara 1030, Mercyhurst 1015
Niagara bowled their third 1000+ pin game of the day beating Mercyhurst by a slim margin of only 15-pins. Megan Adams bowled a score of 232 to help the Purple and White claim second place going into day two of the tournament.
