Niagara University, N.Y. - Niagara Women's Bowling finished first overall at the Mercyhurst Invitational after a 5-0 overall day, they finished the tournament unbeaten over both days finishing 10-0. Including two All-Tournament team selections from Kate Ackerman and Emily Brock. 

The Purple Eagles were led by Jocelyn Smith who posted a 22.3 baker average, followed by Emily Brock who finished the day with a 20.0 average. 

Baker Match 1 (Best of 5): Niagara 1039, Mercyhurst 898

Niagara bowled an impressive 268 in the first game of the match to set the tone early against Mercyhurst. Niagara takes the first match of the day by a total of 141 pins.

Baker Match 2 (Best of 5): Niagara 929, D'Youville 795

Niagara cruised past D'Youville to collect their second win of the day and seventh of the tournament.

Baker Match 3 (Best of 5): Niagara 1033, Wright State 930

The Purple and White continued their winning ways, soaring past nationally ranked Wright State in the third match of the day, winning by 103 pins.

Baker Match 4 (Best of 7): Niagara 980, Roberts Wesleyan 826 (192-165, 154-120, 188-193, 236-165, 210-183)

Niagara takes the fourth baker match of the day against Roberts Wesleyan. The Purple Eagles built off a strong first day performance by winning the first match of day 2. The Purple and White defeated Roberts Wesleyan 4-1.

Title Match (Best of 7): Niagara 1320, Wright State 1152 (225-216, 256-167, 200-225, 224-182, 180-183, 235-179)

The Purple Eagles took the championship match, winning by 168 pins against Wright State. Niagara scored over 200 in five out of six games to carry them to victory over a strong Wright State team. Niagara took the match 4-2 over Wright State.
