ROCHESTER, N.Y. - The Niagara Purple Eagles (14-10-3, 12-5-2), behind a dominate third period, defeated the RIT Tigers (5-20-1, 4-13-1) 6-3 at the Gene Polisseni Center.

Four Purple Eagles notched multiple points, including
Trevor Hoskin (3 assists), Jay Aheran (1 goal, 2 assists), with three apiece. Â

After a scoreless first period, RIT's Tanner Andrew opened scoring at 10:02 of the second to put Niagara in the one goal hole. The Purple Eagles responded with
Ray Murakami's first collegiate goal at 11:36, followed by
Ross Roloson giving the Purple Eagles a 2-1 lead at 15:32 of the period.

The teams traded goals early in the third before Niagara pulled away on
Johnny Wescoe's first of the season at 9:12, followed by goals from Lund and
Noah Hackett on the power play.

Ahearn sealed the victory with an empty-netter at 19:52.
Pierce Charleson made 34 saves in the win.
