LAKE BUENA VISTA, FLA. – Niagara freshman
Carlos Hernandez recorded a 65 (-7) in the final round of the MAAC Men's Golf Championship, matching the conference's low round score set in 1995.
Hernandez moved up 18 spots on the final day of competition to earn a share of fifth place and All-MAAC honors.
Fellow freshman
Ben Hebert recorded a 73 (+1) to finish tied for 22nd overall. The third-round score matched Hebert's tournament low he set on Friday.
Ben Fey recorded his best round of the tournament with a 73 (+1) to finish tied for 32nd overall and
Velton Perry, who recorded a 71 in round two, finished round three with an 80 (+8).
Owen Gauder recorded an 80 (+8) in the final round of the championship to finish 40th overall.
As a team, Niagara finished the MAAC Championship with a team score of 894, including a team-low 291 in round three, to place eight overall.
