LAKE WORTH BEACH, FLA. – Niagara men's golf finished the Southern Invitational at the Falls Club in Lake Worth Beach, Fla., in eighth place out of eight teams.
Freshman
Carlos Hernandez finished 21st overall after a 73 (+2) in round three to finish with a 219 (+6) for the 54-hole event. The freshman shot a 73 in all three rounds with two birdies in round three.
Ben Fey moved up 10 spots in round three with a team-low 70 (-1). The senior finished with a 228 (+15), tying for 29th overall with freshman teammate
Ben Hebert. Hebert shot a 77 (+6) in round three.
Velton Perry and
Owen Gauder finished 45th and 46th overall, respectively. Perry finished the event with a 247 (+34) while Gauder came in a 249 (+36) over three rounds.
Niagara Notes
• Hernandez finished with eight birdies over 54-holes, including four in round one and two in round's two and three.
• Fey's 70 was two strokes off his career-low of 68 he set earlier this season at the Doc Gimmler.
• Hernandez and Fey each recorded par on 33 of 54 holes.
• Hebert finished with seven birdies, second most on the team.
