Niagara Defeats Le Moyne to Close Regular Season

CHEEKTOWAGA, N.Y. – Niagara women's golf went head-to-head with Le Moyne on Sunday afternoon at Diamond Hawk Golf Course, posting a team score 327 to defeat the Dolphins, who finished with a team score of 340.
 
Marina Heister finished second overall with an 80 (+8), one stroke behind the leader, Le Moyne's Mia Avontis, who shot a 79 (+7).
 
Freshman Sierra Ashbaugh finished third with an 81 (+9), followed by junior Himanshika Sehgal in fifth after posting an 83 (+11). Alea Griffith also posted an 83 (+11) on the day.
 
Sriya Machiraju recorded an 87 (+15) to round out the team scorecard.
 
Amber Nemis, Morgan Bauza, and Peyton Bell all played as individuals. Nemis shot a 91, while Bauza and Bell posted scores of 100 and 101, respectively.

Niagara will head to Lake Buena Vista, Fla., for the MAAC Women's Golf Championship at Disney's Palm Course April 19-21.
